Pushpak: The Drone Competition

Introduction:

Drones are seeing increased use in a broad array of applications, including data collection, surveying, mapping, security, aerial photography and videography, and search and rescue.The “exploding industry” has created a demand for people skilled in programming the tiny flying copters so they can carry out their designated tasks.

To give exposure to this revolutionary technology to encourage students for seeking more knowledge and exhibit their skills, the RKG group of institutions is organizing “PUSHPAK- The Drone Competition” for students.

Participant’s teams will build and fly their Drone for different use cases and enjoy a hands-on experience. The main objective of the competition to check and aware the new budding engineers about the latest Technologies. Through this they will learn and apply the theoretical knowledge of making a drone and its applications. Also, participants will understand the controlling, configurations, setting up various parameters, and electronic components behind this technology.

Objectives of the Event:

  • To introduce students to real-world engineering situations and encourage them to develop solutions addressing the environment, economic sustainability, and societal cause.

  • To be aware of the students about drones and their applications.

  • To design and develop the drone of a given specification.

  • To create an environment for the students to participate in various competitions and as well motivate the students for IoT, AI, and Data science for drone data collection and automatic controlling.

  • To create opportunity to the students to exhibit their technical, communication skills, Research orientation and Project management.

Pushpak: The Drone Competition

Contest Guidelines :

  • Minimum No of Teams: 10

  • Maximum No of Teams: 20

  • No. of Students Per Team: 2-5 members (May Have one Faculty Guide)

  • All teams are expected to adhere to the official rules for the drone competition.

  • Teams are required to utilize their computer and video equipment unless it is provided by the host location.

  • It is anticipated that teams will practice the skills needed to become proficient at the skills listed in the competition standards. It is recommended the state competition course layout be released on the day of the competition.
